Aliza Ayaz

TORI Global

At just 25 years old, Aliza has distinguished herself as a leading ESG consultant at TORI Global, working with high-profile clients such as M&G, Aviva and H&M. Her work has significantly advanced sustainability practices within the banking, insurance, IT, and healthcare sectors.

She led a transformative initiative with H&M to launch a pioneering line of sustainable clothing, which utilized recycled materials and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.

Aliza’s approach is holistic; blending technical knowledge with a passionate commitment to environmental advocacy. As a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and an international climate activist, she has tirelessly worked to elevate the discourse around sustainable development, directly influencing global policy and corporate strategies towards more environmentally responsible practices.

Her role in founding the Climate Action Society at University College London (UCL) has not only galvanized youth action against climate change but also contributed to pivotal legislative changes, including the UK Parliament’s climate emergency declaration.

Her educational background in Population Health Science and Infectious Disease Epidemiology from UCL has provided her with a unique perspective on the intersectionality of health, environment, and business, enabling her to offer comprehensive and actionable sustainability strategies.

This was evident when she was hired by the Cannes Film Festival to develop their sustainability strategy, marking her as the only British Pakistani and the youngest consultant to undertake such a critical role.

Her achievements at such a young age serve as an inspiration and a beacon of hope for future generations, making her an outstanding candidate for this prestigious accolade.

Another notable project involved collaborating with Aviva to integrate ESG criteria into their investment strategies, directly influencing the greening of their portfolio and encouraging sustainable investment practices across the finance sector.

Through these projects, Aliza has not only demonstrated her extensive expertise and innovative approach to sustainability but also her ability to drive meaningful change across various industries.

Aliza will be sharing her story at the 33rd Inspiring Women Awards on 16th May 2025. More details here
